Apologies for no email last week, which was mainly due to there being not too much to write about. The proposed dive was called off in advance in the face of a grim looking weather forecast which came sufficiently true to make diving extremely uncomfortable had we gone out. Good call.
Last weekend we set off in high hope for the Dara. The sea state could hardly be called flat calm, but neither was it much to be concerned about. Unfortunately, when we dived the wreck we found water with as much clarity as pea soup. After a couple of minutes groping around in the murk (and avoiding some nets near the anchor), I decided that this was an accident waiting to happen and called the dive. As a consequence, we were back at the club rather earlier than anticipated.
Maybe next week, we’ll have better luck.
